Maurice and Lillian Levine opened their first furniture shop in Tipton in 1951.

They expanded in 1959 opening a second store in Smethwick, where we have had a presence to this day. In the early days we employed just 2 people plus their eldest son Philip, a far cry from the 53 We employ now.

As time went on their second and third sons left school and quickly joined in the now 3 store business.

Maurice and Lillian retired on April 1st 1973, leaving the second generation to "rule the roost".

The company became "LEVINE BROTHERS".

We are now into our third generation of family members and have stores in Kidderminster, Brierley Hill, Bearwood (Smethwick) and of course our main purpose buit store at Tyseley (Birmingham).

This 23000sq foot store, built in 2004, allows us to show a much greater array of beds, cabinet, carpets and occasional furniture.
